KIEV, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman cast his vote on Sunday amid snap parliamentary elections.
Groysman, the head of Ukrainian Strategy party and an ally of former president Petro Poroshenko, said he believes that the success of the country depends on the voters.
"Today it is very important for everyone to understand that it depends on each of us what tomorrow will be," he said in an interview after leaving a poll station in the west-central city of Vinnytsia.
Poroshenko, also the head of the European Solidarity party, gave his vote the same day, saying that Ukraine should keep its movement towards joining the European Union and NATO.
The elections on Sunday come three months after Volodymyr Zelensky beat Poroshenko and took the presidency of the eastern European country. Official results are scheduled for release next week.
According to the latest figures, Zelensky's newly-created Servant of the People party is expected to win the largest share of the votes.
