Morocco, Palestine sign deal to combat corruption

RABAT, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Palestine signed on Tuesday in Rabat a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to combat corruption, Moroccan official news Agency MAP reported.

The MoU aims to define the areas of cooperation in the prevention and fight against corruption in accordance with the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the Arab Convention against Corruption, an official statement was quoted as saying.

The deal was signed between the Moroccan anti-corruption authority INPPLC and the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission.

Under this agreement, the two parties undertake to conduct studies and research to identify the causes and risks of corruption and means of overcoming it.
