Iran to play warmup with Bangladesh for FIFA World Cup qualifiers

TEHRAN, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Iran national soccer team will play a friendly match with Bangladesh in Doha, Qatar, Persian Football website reported on Wednesday.

The match is scheduled for September 5, five days before Team Melli's first match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Hong Kong of China.

Iran, who have been drawn along with Iraq, Bahrain, Cambodia and Hong Kong of China, will be aiming for a third consecutive appearance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Bangladesh are in Group E along with Oman, India, Afghanistan and Qatar.
