BRATISLAVA, July 24 (Xinhua) -- After a humiliating relegation from the Champions League qualifiers last week, Slovakia's reigning champions Slovan Bratislava edged out the Kosovian team KF Feronikeli 2-1 on home turf in the first leg of Europa League second qualifying round on Wednesday.

The crowd did not have to wait long as the Spanish-born Nono opened the scoring in the 9th minute when his free-kick bounced off a player and ended behind Florjan Smakiqi's back.

Slovan's top-scorer Andraz Sporar stretched the lead to 2-0 in the second half on a penalty shot, but the guests managed to cut the deficit moments later when Mendurim Hoti scored inside the box.

Although Slovan won, the fans were not content with their performance and showed their disappointment with loud boos and whistling after the final whistle.

The second leg will be played in Kosovo on July 30. Enditem
