China to take on Brazil in FIBA World Cup warm up

WUHAN, Central China, July 29 (Xinhua) -- China will play a friendly game with Brazil here next month in preparation for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup on home soil.

The August 25 game will be the last warmup match for the Chinese men's basketball team ahead of the World Cup, which will be held in eight Chinese cities from August 31 to September 15.

All key players of the Chinese national side are set to join the warmup with the friendly expected to further strengthen the team's lineup and tactic arrangements while setting the stage for the World Cup, according to the local organizing committee of Wuhan.

The hosts China have been drawn in Group A alongside with Cote d'Ivoire, Poland, and Venezuela, and will play their group matches in Beijing, while Wuhan will host Group B teams; Russia, Argentina, Nigeria, and South Korea, before hosting knockout stage games.
