Train-coach collision kills 3, injures 1 in central Vietnam

HANOI, July 31 (Xinhua) -- A train hit a 16-seater coach in Vietnam's central Binh Thuan province on Wednesday morning, killing three local people and leaving one injured, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The accident instantly killed the trio and injured one passenger, all in the coach. According to initial investigation results, the coach was carelessly crossing the railway in Tuy Phong district when the train came.

Between January and July, 9,820 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 4,467 people, severely injuring 2,794 people and lightly hurting 4,676 others, according to the country's General Statistics Office.
