TIANJIN, China, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Bayi won the 2019 Chinese National Table Tennis Championships men's team title here on Friday, lifting the trophy for the first time in 11 years.
In the final against Beijing, featuring one doubles and four singles duels, Zhou Kai and Kuang Li of Bayi lost to Yan An and Wang Chuqin in their doubles match, before Liang Jingkun levelled the overall scores by beating Liu Yebo.
Beijing regained the lead as Wang Chuqin defeated Kuang Li in the third game, but Bayi made the overall score 2-2 with Liang Jingkun's 3-0 victory over Yan An.
Bayi's Zhou Kai came back from 0-2 down to beat 18-year-old Liu Yebo 3-2 in the deciding game.
"Everyone played very well and a good strategy was the key to winning the game," said Bayi coach Wang Tao.
