KHARTOUM, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Sudan on Monday condemned a deadly car bombing that took place close to the national cancer institute in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses it condemnation of the cowardly terrorist bombing on Monday morning near the Cancer Institute in Cairo which left 20 people killed and many others injured," said the Sudanese Foreign Ministry in a statement.
The ministry expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Egypt.
According to the Egyptian authorities, the explosion occurred when a car packed with explosives used the wrong lane and hit three other cars.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry described the incident as "a terrorist attack." Enditem
