NANCHANG, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in eastern China's Jiangxi Province are planning to further tap the potential in forest tourism by taking advantage of its rich forest resources.
According to the provincial forestry bureau, the first-ever forest tourism festival in Jiangxi will begin on Wednesday.
Jiangxi has rich forest resources, with more than 10 million hectares of forests and 910,100 hectares of wetland. Its forest coverage rate is the second-highest in the country.
Last year, the province received 164 million tourists visiting its forest attractions.
