BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- "Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire," the 23rd installment in Japanese animated film franchise "Detective Conan," is set to hit theaters on the Chinese mainland at a date yet to be announced, according to the movie's official Weibo account.
It will revolve around a plot involving the titular "blue sapphire" jewel, a murder case and a Singapore-related conspiracy, where the film will take place.
"Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire" premiered in Japan on April 12, 2019.
The franchise's 22nd movie, "Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer," made its debut on Nov. 9, 2018 on the Chinese mainland, where it generated a total box office of 127 million yuan (about 18 million U.S. dollars).
