XINING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- A carpet exhibition opened Wednesday in northwest China's Qinghai Province, attracting traders, government officials and representatives from 41 countries.
The 2019 China (Qinghai) International Carpet Exhibition is being held in Xining, capital of Qinghai, from Aug. 7 to 11.
Forty-six domestic carpet enterprises and 76 foreign companies have attended the exhibition.
With 15 years of development, the exhibition has made great contributions to the economic and trade cooperation between Qinghai and the globe, as well as the construction of the Belt and Road, according to the organizing committee of the exhibition.
"For six consecutive years, I've come to Xining to participate in the exhibition, which opens a window for me to know more about the Chinese carpet market and provides a platform for exhibitors from different countries to exchange carpet-making skills and their cultures," said Shahkar Hussain, an Indian carpet dealer.
It is also the first year for Qinghai to host the International Eco-industrial Expo together with the carpet exhibition, with forums being held on cooperation and development of the eco-industry, Tibetan medicine industry and cross-border e-commerce.
