PARIS, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain announced on Wednesday that Kevin Trapp has moved to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, who signed a five-year contract with the German goalkeeper.
"The Eagles have signed Kevin Trapp from Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent contract through to 2024," read a Frankfurt statement.
The two clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.
Joining PSG in June 2015, Trapp spent the 2018-2019 season on loan at Frankfurt, playing 45 matches and reaching the Europa League semifinal.
The three-time capped German international made 91 appearances for PSG, winning two Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, three French League Cups and five French Super Cups.
Prior to his transfer to PSG, Trapp had made 96 competitive outings for Frankfurt between 2012 and 2015.
"I made it clear in the spring that I'm very happy in Frankfurt and at Eintracht," Trapp said.
"My time in Paris was very exciting and successful, and a great experience, but now I'm coming home for good and want to achieve a lot more with Eintracht," he added.
Trapp earned regular call-ups by the German national team with his performance over the last two years, winning the Confederations Cup 2017.
Frankfurt revealed that Trapp will wear the No. 1 jersey for the coming season. Enditem
