Exhibition of rural residents' photographs opens in Beijing

BEIJING, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition of photographs by China's rural residents opened in Beijing Saturday.

The exhibition displays 135 photographs of different themes, including the ploughing and harvest in farmlands, traditional rural culture and the homesickness of rural residents away from home.

Jointly held by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Photographers Association, the exhibition is the ninth of its kind.

The exhibition runs until Aug. 15.
