Al Sadd beat Al Duhail to reach Asian Champions League quarterfinals

DOHA, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Qatar's Al Duhail was defeated by domestic team Al Sadd in the round of 16 on Tuesday, who booked the AFC Champions League quarterfinal spot.

Following the match between the two teams last week which ended in a 1-1 draw, Al Sadd advanced to the quarterfinals on 4-2 aggregate. Al Sadd's new coach Xavi expects to give it a try at an Asian continental title.

Al Sadd will compete with Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr, who defeated Al Wahda 3-2 on Monday in the other quarterfinal.
