"Bodies at Rest," crime action film by Renny Harlin, hits Chinese theaters

BEIJING, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- "Bodies at Rest," a Chinese crime action film by acclaimed Hollywood director Renny Harlin, opened in Chinese mainland theaters on Friday.

Set in Hong Kong, the film revolves around a group of thugs, who, aiming to cover up a crime, break into a morgue where a forensics expert and his assistant must figure out a way to stay alive as well as protect the evidence.

Starring Nick Cheung, Yang Zi and Richie Jen, the film was the opening title of the Hong Kong International Film Festival in March 2019.

Renny Harlin, 60, is best known for directing "Die Hard 2" and "Cliffhanger."
