Namibia announces women's cricket World Cup qualifier squad

WINDHOEK, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Namibia has released its roster for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier to be held in Scotland from August 31 to September 7.

Namibia made it to the tournament after the ICC suspended Zimbabwe, who had initially qualified, due to government meddling in the sport.

The top two teams from the qualifiers will advance to the 2020 World Cup in Australia.

Namibia is pooled with Ireland, the Netherlands and Thailand in Group B in the qualifier.

The Namibian squad is as follows:

Players: Yasmeen Khan (c), Wilka Mwatile, Petro Enright, Sune Wittmann, Victoria Hanunyela, Kayleen Green, Irene van Zyl, Sylvia Shihepo, Reehana Khan, Mezerly Gorases, Adri vd Merwe, Arrasta Diergaardt, Didi Foerster, Eveleen Kejarukua.

Coach: Leonard Nhamburo. Manager: Hester Khan.
