China donates 200 dump trucks to Bolivian miners

LA PAZ, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales on Thursday delivered 200 dump trucks and spare parts donated by China to the National Federation of Mining Cooperatives of Bolivia.

The ceremony took place in El Alto city, next to La Paz, and was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Bolivia Liang Yu.

Morales thanked China for its "contributions without conditions," given that they will help "improve production and family economies."

China donated 100 dump trucks with the capacity to transport up to 13 tons of cargo, 100 units with an individual load carrying capacity of up to 15 tons, and 108 spare parts kits, according to official data.

Liang said that the donation marks a new level in bilateral relations, which will keep developing based on the principles of mutual respect and mutual benefit.

The donation "will help the mining sector to improve efficiency in transport and production, and to increase income and better the live of miners," Liang said.

Liang also stressed China's firm intention to expand cooperation and investments in various areas.

"China will always be willing to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields," he said.
