HANOI, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- A motorbike carrying five Vietnamese youngsters hit a median strip in the country's northern Thai Nguyen province on Sunday, instantly killing four and severely injuring one, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The 18-year-old driver lost his control over the vehicle, causing it to hit the median strip in the province's Thai Nguyen city, resulting in the four fatalities aged 15-18, including three males and one female.
Between January and July, 9,820 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 4,467 people, severely injuring 2,794 people and lightly hurting 4,676 others, according to the country's General Statistics Office.
