DAMASCUS, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Syrian air defenses intercepted rebels' drone attack on army positions in central Syria, state news agency SANA said on Saturday.
The attack was intercepted on Friday night over the al-Ghab Plains in the countryside of the central province of Hama, said SANA.
The army's defenses destroyed all three drones, which were all outfitted with weapons.
The rebels in Idlib province in northwestern Syria are behind drones' attack, the report said.
This comes as Idlib is observing a cease-fire that was announced a week ago by the Syrian army.
