LUSAKA, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Zambian President Edgar Lungu on Monday congratulated the Under-23 national soccer team for qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Congo Brazzaville.
The Junior Chipolopolo drew 3-3 with Congo Brazzaville to qualify on a 5-4 aggregate for the finals to be hosted by Egypt.
In a congratulatory message, the Zambian leader said the current team was one of the best teams to have come out of Zambia.
"Let me congratulate our gallant boys who have just qualified to the finals. That team has made the country proud. I must add, there are some great talents in that team," he said.
