ACCRA, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ghana's Black Meteors are confident of beating Algeria to qualify to the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt later this year.

The Ghanaian side flew out to Algeria on Sunday ahead of the return-leg qualifier on Tuesday.

The head coach of the team, Ibrahim Tanko made only one change to the 18-man squad that faced the North African outfit at the Accra sports stadium in the first leg last Friday.

The Setif clash is one of six matches lined up for this final round as 12 teams continue the search for a place in the 2019 U-23 AFCON tournament fixed for Nov. 8-22 in Cairo.

Despite a frustrating first leg which ended 1-1, the assistant coach of Ghana's U-23 side, Michael Osei, believes his team has what it takes to qualify ahead of Algeria.

"Every member of this group understands the enormity of the task we face tomorrow, but we are ready for it," he said.

"The tougher the opponent, the best we get from the players. It is not over for us," said Osei.

The U-23 tournament will determine which three African nations will compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Japan.

Ghana is looking to make it to the next Olympics football competition after missing out of the competition since Athens in 2004.
