RIGA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- 19 children have suffered from food poisoning in the central Latvian town of Sigulda, Latvian public radio reported on Monday.
The cases were registered in five kindergartens in the town, which has around 11,000 inhabitants and lies about 50 kilometres away from the capital Riga.
Three of the children are in hospital in serious condition though their lives are not in danger.
Four adults, all of them employees at the kindergartens, have also been diagnosed with food poisoning.
The food control service has carried out checks in the kindergartens but noted that it is too early to name the cause of the poisoning. Enditem
