Sports games for China's ethnic minorities ends in Zhengzhou

This year's Ethnic Games ran from Sept 8 to 16. More than 7,000 athletes competed in 17 sports including dragon boat, swing, stilt race and ethnic aerobics in the 8-day games.

ZHENGZHOU, Sept. 17, 2019 (Xinhua) -- The Ethnic Games is more than just a sporting gala, it provides a platform for China's rich multi-ethnic culture. Creating opportunities for ordinary people at different ages who have sports dreams, is what Ethnic Games values.

Beginning in 1953, the Ethnic Games have been held for 66 years. As the first national comprehensive games of the People's Republic of China, the national games for ethnic minorities have become a stage for displaying the ethnic minorities.
