SINGAPORE, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.65 percent, or 20.93 points, to close at 3,183.00.
A total of 1.02 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 838.33 million Singapore dollars (about 608.54 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 224 to 154.
The STI index went down 0.24 percent, or 7.56 points, to close at 3,203.93 Monday. Enditem
