FAIZABAD, Afghanistan, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- At least 30 insurgents have been killed in Raghistan district of the northern Badakhshan province as fighting planes have struck the Taliban hideouts over the past 24 hours, provincial governor's spokesman Nik Mohammad Nazari said Tuesday.
The Afghan fighting planes, according to the official, have also destroyed three hideouts of the insurgents during which the militants' weapon caches were also smashed.
Taliban militants who have lost three districts to government forces in Badakhshan over the past couple of weeks have not commented on the situation in Raghistan district yet.
