MADRID, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona will be without their French international winger Ousmane Dembele for the first 'Clasico' of the season against Real Madrid after he was given a two-game ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Wednesday.
Dembele was given the ban after being sent off for a direct red card by referee Mateu Lahoz in Barca's 4-0 win over Sevilla on Sunday.
He was protesting Mateu's decision to send off Barca debutant Ronald Aroujo in the closing minutes of Barca's 4-0 win at home to Sevilla.
According to the referee's post-game report, Dembele said, "very bad, you are very bad" to the matchday official and the disciplinary committee has suspended him for "speaking to the referee with an attitude of disrespect."
That means that unless Barca appeal against the decision and win the appeal, Dembele will miss Barca's next La Liga match, which is away to Eibar following the current international break, along with the subsequent home game against Real Madrid on October 26.
