MUSCAT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Oman ranked first globally in a terrorism-free index, according to the Global Competitiveness Report 2019 released on Wednesday by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The result showed that Oman has leaped in a number of indicators compared with last year, such as innovation, efficiency of legal framework and rate of homicides.
Considering the overall competitiveness, Oman ranked 53rd globally and sixth in the Arab world among all the 141 countries and regions listed in the report.
The annual report is issued in October of each year and is concerned with measuring the factors that contribute to driving productivity and prosperity in different countries and regions.
