5.9-magnitude quake hits 147 km WSW of Bengkulu, Indonesia: USGS

NEW YORK, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- A 5.9-magnitude earthquake jolted 147 km WSW of Bengkulu, Indonesia at 22:23 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 4.5312 degrees south latitude and 101.1508 degrees east longitude.
