SHIJIAZHUANG, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed after a fire broke out in a steel plant in north China's Hebei Province on Thursday, local authorities said.
The fire occurred at around 3:30 a.m. in a workshop of Hebei Xinghua Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. based in the city of Handan, according to the Hebei Provincial Department of Emergency Management.
Further investigation is underway.
