JERUSALEM, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition titled "Beijing in Snow and Ice" and themed on the 2022 Winder Olympics was held on Monday evening in the China Cultural Center Tel Aviv.

The exhibition introduced the logo, mascot and vision of the 2022 Winter Olympics, and also presented the beautiful scenery of Beijing in winter and the passion of people's participation in winter sports.

A film with the same name of "Beijing in Snow and Ice" was also played in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Beijing will be the first city to have hosted both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, said Dai Yuming, Minister Counselor with the Chinese Embassy in Israel, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Dai said that the exhibition reflects vision, mission and key messages of Beijing 2022 and Israelis could see Chinese enthusiasm for winter sports and a charming Beijing in winter times.

No boundary among nations when referring to the sports, said Dai, adding that more exchanges and cooperation are expected between China and Israel in the field of sports.

The 2022 Winter Olympics is believed to be an impressive sports event and Israeli athletes are preparing to participate in the event, said Daniel Oren, chairman of the Elite Sports Department of Israeli Olympic Committee.

Oren headed Israeli athletes to participate in the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008. He said he was expecting to visit Beijing again in 2022.

The exhibition was co-hosted by the Beijing Olympic City Development Foundation, the China Cultural Center Tel Aviv and the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchanges Center. The exhibition will last until November 3 this year. Before coming to Tel Aviv, the exhibition was held in Barcelona of Spain and Athens of Greece.
