JINAN, China, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Lester Hudson scored 21 points as Shandong edged Tianjin 96-82 in the fifth round of 2019-20 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season here on Tuesday.
Jia Cheng added 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Chen Peidong contributed 17 points for the home team. Chasson Randle had a team-high 24 points for Tianjin.
A tight first half saw Shandong lead by two points at the whistle, and by the end of the third quarter, the home side's lead was cut to one point as they started the fourth 66-65 ahead.
However, with the pressure on, Chen scored five consecutive points to extend Shandong's lead and allow his side to hold their advantage to the final whistle.
