BUDAPEST, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Uruguay beat Hungary 2-1 in a soccer friendly in the brand new Puskas Arena of the Hungarian capital Budapest on Friday evening.

Uruguay scored two easy goals by Edison Cavani and Rrian Rodriguez in the first half to take 2-0 lead.

Hungary's Adam Szalai found the net in the 24th minute to cut the deficit.

The match was part of the inauguration of the Puskas Arena.

The new UEFA category 4 stadium can seat 68,000 and hold up to 80,000 people for concerts.

Opened in 1953, Puskas Ferenc Stadium, formerly known as Nepstadion (People's Stadium), was completely demolished in March 2016 to make way for the new arena.

The Puskas Arena is already scheduled to host four matches at the Euro 2020 football tournament: three in the group stage and one in the round of 16.
