TIANJIN, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Yi Jianlian became the CBA's all-time leading scorer as Guangdong Southeast Tigers trounced Tianjin Pioneers 140-93 on Thursday.
Yi (11,177 points) surpassed Zhu Fangyu (11,165 points) as the CBA's all-time leading scorer. The 32-year-old started his CBA career in 2002, winning five CBA championships, four CBA regular season MVP and three Finals MVP up to now.
"I've heard the applause for me when I made the point although playing away, and thank the spectators for their support," Yi said after the game.
Yi contributed 20 points and six rebounds while Marshon Brooks added 27 points for Guangdong.
Tianjin led 33-28 at the end of the first quarter, but the game were dominated by Guangdong after the 77-30 run in the next two quarters.
Tianjin's Li Rongpei scored a team-high 16 points and Shi Deshuai added 14 points plus eight rebounds for the home side.
