BEIRUT, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Stefano Del Col said on Thursday that Israeli violations of Lebanon's airspace have increased during the past week, local media reported.

"Israeli violations of Lebanon's airspace increased especially on Nov. 20 with aircrafts flying at a low altitude over Tyre, causing panic among citizens," Del Col was quoted as saying by Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.

Del Col said that such violations of the UN Resolution 1701 contribute in increasing tension which limits the impact of the UNIFIL's efforts in creating a stable and secure atmosphere in south of Lebanon.

Del Col noted that he has filed a serious complaint to the Israeli army, calling them to respect the UN Resolution 1701 by stopping their daily violations of Lebanon's sovereignty.
