SANAA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 civilians have been killed and 22 others injured in an attack on a popular border market in Yemen's northern province of Saada, a UN official said Thursday.

"This attack comes just a week after a similar incident caused the death of 10 civilians at the same location," said UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen Lise Grande in a statement.

Four children and a woman were among the victims of the attack on the Al-Raqu market, which took place on Wednesday.

"Many of the killed and wounded are Ethiopians (Ethiopian migrants)," Grande said, without specifying who was behind the attack.

More than 120,600 East African refugees and migrants have entered Yemen this year, according to the statement.

Many African migrants have fled their countries to Yemen, from which they would later infiltrate through the borders to enter Saudi Arabia to seek jobs.

The Al-Raqu market is located in the Monabeh district, near the border with Saudi Arabia.

A Saudi-led military coalition has intervened in the Yemeni conflict since 2015 to support the internationally-recognized government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
