URUMQI, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Zhou Qi chipped in 27 points and 18 rebounds in 27 minutes, as Xinjiang sent Fujian to a fifth straight defeat by 134-91 in the 2019-2020 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday night.

It was supposed to be an eye-catching duel between Chinese elite centers Zhou Qi and Wang Zhelin. But when Fujian chose to rest their star-caliber, the match became lopsided.

A 13-2 run, capped by Xiralijan Muhtar's jumper from beyond the arc, helped Xinjiang built lead soon to start the game.

Fujian showed signs of life late on and responded with 11 straight points, including three 3-pointers to close the gap.

Xiralijan hit another three to pass his milestone in the second quarter, surpassing Bayi's legend Li Nan to become the man who made the 10th most 3-point shots in CBA history.

Xinjiang set an 18-point halftime lead over struggling Fujian, then jumped to a startling 38-point lead.

Five Xinjiang players were in double-digit, while Amare Stoudemire and Ty Lawson each got 19 for Fujian.
