OSLO, Dec.8 (Xinhua) -- Jarl Magnus Riiber and Joergen Graabak made a 1-2 finish for Norway in the men's individual event at the Nordic Combined World Cup race in Lillehammer, Norway on Saturday.

Riiber produced a 143-meter jump in the first discipline before compounding his advantage in a flawless cross-country race to win by 46.4 seconds.

Graabak fought off the challenges of two Germans, Fabian Riessle and Vinzenz Geiger, in a sprint finish to claim the silver. Riessle beat out Geiger by 0.1 seconds for third place.

With his 143-meter jump, Riiber already had a 30-second lead clear of the field at the start line for the second leg of the day. Riiber skied his usual controlled race and defended much of his advantage on his pursuers to claim another clear victory.

Riessle and Geiger had to be satisfied with the positions three and four, which marked a small comeback of the German team with Eric Frenzel completing a good team result of seventh.

Jens Luraas Oftebro finished in fifth and fastest skier Ilkka Herola crossed the finish line in sixth, a good result for the Finn, who had still been struggling a bit more with his performances on home ground in Ruka. Martin Fritz was eighth, Samuel Costa claimed ninth position for Italy and Thomas Joebstl of Austria completed the top ten.
