JERUSALEM, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israel's Hapoel Jerusalem achieved an 83-72 victory against Turkey's Teksut Bandirma in the eighth round of the FIBA Basketball Champions League on Tuesday.

The victory, at Pais Arena in Jerusalem, was the Israeli team's sixth win in Group B, while the Turks have notched three wins across eight games.

Bandirma opened strongly, leading 10-5, but Jerusalem shooting guard James Feldeine brought his team back into the game to lead 21-17 at the end of the first quarter.

A 13-0 run put the Turks back in the lead, but Feldeine, who scored 19 points in the first half, led his teammates to a 43-37 lead at half-time.

Jerusalem opened a gap of 12 points in the third quarter (51-39), but Omar Prewitt and Sehmus Hazer gave some hope to Bandirma, closing the gap to just four points by the end of the quarter (56-60), though some important points and rebounds by TaShawn Thomas in the fourth quarter secured the Israeli victory.

Feldeine scored a team-high 27 points, while his teammate Thomas finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Tyler Kalinoski and Emanuel Terry led Bandirma with 14 points each.

Jerusalem will play their next game in Greece against AEK Athens, while Bandirma will face Belgium's Antwerp Giants in Turkey, with both games to be played on December 18.
