Guo Yongxian corrects students' homework at Hangzhuang Primary School in Zhuding Township of Wuhe County in Bengbu City, east China's Anhui Province, Dec. 11, 2019. Guo Yongxian, a 56-year-old math teacher of Hangzhuang Primary School, lost his left leg and two toes of the right foot after four amputations due to severe diabetes complications from 2009 to 2013. Guo recovered well from the operations after a period of rest and recuperation, yet he kept thinking about his students. In the spring semester of 2015, Guo Yongxian talked to the principal and asked to go back to work. The school prepared a dormitory for Guo in the campus, and built a barrier-free path as an easy access specially for him. Since then, Guo Yongxian has kept on teaching while sitting on an electric tricycle. Guo will retire in three and a half years.
