Orchestra from Russia's Novosibirsk to perform at NCPA

BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Novosibirsk Academic Philharmonic Orchestra, a known Russian music ensemble, will perform at the National Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 2, 2020.

Featuring Chinese conductor Li Biao, the orchestra will bring audiences classic melodies including "Festive Overture" by Dmitri Shostakovich, "Nutcracker Suite" by Tchaikovsky, and a series of compositions of Aram Khachaturian.

Established in 1956, the Novosibirsk Academic Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrated not only in the city of Novosibirsk and the Siberian region, but also across the whole of Russia. The ensemble has toured throughout its own country and participated in numerous international music festivals.
