BEIRUT, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's caretaker Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab urged on Monday the international community to intervene in stopping Israel's regular violations of Lebanon's sovereignty, local TV channel LBCI reported.
"The international community must be highly aware about the dangers of such violations," Bou Saab said.
Bou Saab's remarks come after Israeli missiles were fired into Syrian territories on Sunday night from the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.
Last month, the chief of UN Interim Force in Lebanon filed a serious complaint to the Israeli army, asking it to respect the UN Resolution 1701 by stopping its daily violations of Lebanon's sovereignty.
Israel violates Lebanon's airspace on an almost daily basis, according to the Lebanese authorities.
