RIYADH, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday the arrival of six of its prisoners of war from Yemen, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The six prisoners arrived at King Salman Air Base, SPA quoted the spokesperson of the Saudi-led coalition Col. Turki Al Maliki as saying.

They were received by the Joint Forces Commander Lt. General Fahd Bin Turki Bin Abdulaziz, a number of the Joint Forces Command Staff and their families.

He said the Joint Forces Command values the efforts exerted by the International Committee of the Red Cross in handing over the prisoners in line with the Stockholm Agreement.

In March, the coalition will have complete five years of military action in Yemen against Houthi militias in support of Yemen's elected government.
