China lose 0-1 to South Korea in Asian U23 soccer championship

BANGKOK, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Lee Dong-Jun scored a goal in injury time as South Korea edged China 1-0 in Group C of the 2020 AFC Under-23 Championship here on Thursday.

The championship will be played in Thailand from January 8 to 26, 2020. The top three teams will qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, with hosts Japan securing automatic qualification.

China are bracketed in Group C along with defending champions Uzbekistan as well as Iran and South Korea.
