BEIRUT, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese protesters took to the streets on Tuesday to demonstrate against the ruling political class for its delay in forming a government and its inability to save the country's deteriorating economy, the National News Agency reported.

People all over the country blocked the main roads while burning tires and implementing sit-ins against state and financial institutions.

Protests started again on Tuesday after a relatively peaceful period during holidays.

Protesters all over Lebanon launched nationwide demonstrations since Oct. 17 aimed at changing the current ruling class which has failed over the past years to implement reform measures to create a prosperous economy.

Demonstrators vowed to stay in the streets and fight for their rights until they see an overhaul of the country's political system.
