DONGGUAN, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Marshon Brooks, Yi Jianlian and Sonny Weems all scored over 20 points as the Guangdong Southern Tigers eased past the Jilin Northeastern Tigers 123-100 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Tuesday to extend their winning streak to 10 games.

Brooks had 29 points plus eight assists and Yi contributed 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Weems added another 20 points for Guangzhou. Dominique Jones scored a game-high 35 points for Jilin.

Jilin stormed to a 10-0 lead after the tip-off but Guangdong soon found their rhythm and cut the deficit to only three trailing 32-29 at the end of the first quarter.

The home side continued their momentum as Brooks and Weems dominated at both ends and combined for 21 points in the second quarter to lift Guangdong to a 61-55 advantage at halftime.

Guangdong held their advantage well in the third and led 91-85 going into the last quarter, before Yi led a 12-0 spurt to seal the victory.

"Our opponents had an incredible shooting percentage in the beginning of the game," Guangdong coach Du Feng said after the game.

"We soon found our own rhythm and took the lead and we played a good game overall," Du added.
