WINDHOEK, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Namibia have been drawn in Group H of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, along with Senegal, Republic of Congo and Togo.

Namibia's interim coach Bobby Samaria believed his team would have a chance to show the world how far they have come.

"This draw presents Namibia with yet another opportunity to show how far we have grown. It is a challenge that we need to embrace with no pressure," he was quoted as saying by the Namibia Football Association (NFA), adding that his team is without doubt the underdog in the group.

"All the other teams are better ranked than us and have seasoned professionals in their midst," he acknowledged.

The second round of African qualifiers will take place from October 5, 2020 to October 12, 2021.

In round three, scheduled for November 2021, the ten group winners from round two will be paired up for a final round of knockout matches, with the five winners securing places at Qatar 2022.
