RAMALLAH, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- A senior Palestinian official on Friday denied that the Palestinian Authority has held any talks with the United States over the "Deal of the Century."

Nabil Abu Rudeinah, spokesman of the Palestinian presidency, said in a statement that "there have been no talks at all held with the U.S. Administration, neither in brevity nor in details."

Earlier media reports said that U.S. President Donald Trump intends to declare soon his new peace plan in the Middle East, better known as the "Deal of the Century," which was rejected in advance by the Palestinians.

Abu Rudeinah also denied the media reports which said that the U.S.-proposed peace plan has been briefly discussed by the United States and the Palestinian Authority.

Hazem Qassem, Islamic Hamas movement's spokesman said in a press statement that any U.S. plan that disparages the full legitimate rights of the Palestinian people "will never pass."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and leader of Israeli opposition Benny Gantz are scheduled to visit Washington next week to discuss the peace plan with the U.S. administration, according to Israeli media reports.
