GAZA, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Islamic Hamas movement on Saturday slammed a military strategic plan recently announced by the Israeli army, saying that the plan seeks a "lost victory."
Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, said in a press statement that "It is a plan of gangs that disregards all international laws and conventions."
Aviv Kochavi, Israeli army chief of staff, declared the new military strategic plan for the year 2020 to 2024.
Israeli Radio reported that the plan includes strengthening land weapons and renewing the armored vehicles and aircraft to counter what Israel calls "the Iranian threats."
"All these military plans and preparations for wars will never stop our people carrying on with their resistance to grab their rights and freedom and end the occupation," said Qassem.
