TOKYO, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks dropped Thursday morning tracking an overnight slump on Wall Street, with concerns mounting about a resurgence of coronavirus cases in Europe.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 132.00 points, or 0.57 percent, from Wednesday to 23,214.49.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 8.79 points, or 0.53 percent, at 1,635.46.
Nonferrous metal, iron and steel, and rubber product issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
