BEIRUT, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's total number of COVID-19 cases increased on Friday by 1,143 to 33,962 while the death toll went up by four to 333, the Health Ministry said.
It is the highest single-day increase since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Lebanon on Feb. 21.
Lebanon has been registering more than 1,000 cases daily in the past few days, leading to isolation of some villages to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
On Sept. 9, China donated about 10,000 N95 masks, 100,000 medical masks, 100,000 gloves and 6,000 PCR rapid tests to help Lebanon fight the pandemic. Enditem
